What is Trezor® Suite App?
Trezor® Suite is the official companion app for Trezor® hardware wallets. It acts as a secure management layer — allowing you to view balances, send and receive cryptocurrencies, apply firmware updates, and manage device settings — while your private keys remain safely stored offline on the Trezor® device itself.
Download & Initial Setup
Always start at trezor.io/start. Pick the correct installer for your operating system and follow the on-screen setup. If you use a browser integration, the Trezor® Bridge is required to enable USB communication — install Trezor® Bridge when prompted or download it from the official site.
Logging In — How Trezor® Wallet Login Works
There is no cloud password stored by Trezor®. "Login" to the suite means physically unlocking your Trezor® device with the PIN you set during setup. All confirmations (transaction signing, firmware install) require direct input on the device screen — this ensures your seed and keys never leave the hardware.
Common Problems & Fast Fixes
- Error connecting Trezor® account: Reinstall or update Trezor® Bridge, use a direct USB port, and try a different USB cable (data-rated). Disable browser extensions that may block USB access.
- Trezor® Suite App not working: Close the app, reboot your computer, and reinstall the latest Suite build from trezor.io. Check OS permissions and firewall settings.
- Trezor® login not working / Unable to login: Confirm you are entering the correct PIN on the device (not the computer). If the keyboard layout changed, use the device's numeric confirmation interface.
- Can't verify Trezor® Wallet: Verify the device fingerprint and bootloader messages on the device screen during first connect; do not accept prompts that appear only on a website.
Account Recovery & 2FA Considerations
Your recovery seed (12/24 words) is the only way to restore accounts on a new Trezor® or compatible wallet. Trezor® itself does not manage third-party 2FA. If you linked 2FA to a service and need a 2FA reset, follow that service's recovery steps — Trezor® cannot reset external 2FA tokens tied to online accounts.
When to Contact the Trezor® Help Center
For unresolved errors (firmware failures, repeated verification mismatches, or suspected device tampering) open a support ticket at the Trezor® Help Center. Provide model details and firmware version — but never share your recovery seed or PIN.
FAQ
- Q1: Where do I download Trezor® Suite and Trezor® Bridge?
- A: Official downloads are available at
trezor.io/start. Avoid third-party installers. - Q2: My computer shows "Error connecting" — what should I try first?
- A: Try another USB cable/port, reinstall Trezor® Bridge, reboot the computer, or try the Suite on a different machine.
- Q3: I forgot my PIN — can I recover my Trezor®?
- A: If you forget the PIN you can factory reset the device; recovery is possible only with your seed phrase on a new device. Without the seed, funds cannot be recovered.
- Q4: Does Trezor® Suite ever ask for my seed?
- A: Legitimate Suite will never request your seed for routine operations. Only use your seed during a controlled recovery on a secure device.
- Q5: How do I fix "Can't verify wallet" during setup?
- A: Ensure firmware prompts match on the device screen and that you installed Suite/Bridge from trezor.io. If mismatched messages appear, stop and contact support.
